RAIN

This is not a poem. I don't what it is exactly. I am trying to put the reader exactly in the shoes of the narrator, but not only to feel there, but to feel the PANIC that sets in...

RAIN

I can't get this rain out of my eyes.
Every drop I remove, is replaced by two more.
It's pouring, and I'm soaked--
I hear a buzzing in my right ear.
It's silent...Too silent...Where are the cars?
The wind it whistles, the thunder rolling, the lightning crackling,
but it all sounds so far away.
Where is the sound?... Why do I hear only a faint horn?...
It would be so much nicer if I was inside.
Listening to this outside.
But instead I am outside,
stuck listening to what's happening inside
my skull.
It seems to be missing its own song,
a south rock song, because the vibration is terrible,
I'm going deaf.
I can't hear anything but this horrible buzzing.

Oh my god!
Can you feel that? My heart just crawled up my throat.
In this hurricane, I missed the sight of the car.
He nearly missed me too.
I spin around trying to find him.
I can't see him, I can't hear him.
Where is he?
Where am I?
HELP ME PLEASE!
