While on the topic of writing, and what it is to write, I also want to explore the motivation behind doing it. Sometimes it can become more of a party trick, a favor to others, than it is a mode of self improvement. Sometimes you work out the trickiest of sequences for words, or the hardest character flaws just to please someone else. Sometimes you feel like Pinocchio, and it amazes you that you haven't stopped yet.
On the title of this piece, it evokes the double meaning in the alternate spelling (right now), which shows the pre-eminent theme of pressure from those around you, and much of the piece is based off of wordplay in a similar vein.
